It was a night where age triumphs (to some extent). In 3 out of 4 matches the older player manages to outgun the younger player. Most notable would be Roland who at 51 years old is the oldest in our group, but hey think you younger lot can beat him, better think again.. Vincent Ho as the 2nd oldest player somehow manages to tame the awesome power of John who at 14 is about one third his age with precise shots. Cliff who is past 45 (but looking extremely good) perservered and managed to hold off the awesome power of Kelvin. According to Kelvin he had a change of string pattern the night before and he told me he somehow could not get back his feel (which could have affected) his game.
The only young gun that lived up to his age on this nite was John Chiam who manages to scrape by yours truly after being held at 6-5 before he broke away. He was also clearly out of breadth although he somehow has more reserve energy to break away after more than a hour of match play.
