by albert for everyone

Ronny Soo, our young talented but perennial underachiever who recently started working as a investment adviser, zoomed into Rivervale Condo and cleared 2 opponents in one fell swoop including hot favourite Julian.

His techniques have always been good but has enhanced his skills recently with more consistency. With youth at his side, he has come to spoil the party indeed.

it was lucky... Julian should have won... i was playing beginner's tennis then... strokes all gone... and super tired... Julian has a very good stamina and high consistency also... i guess Lai Yong's consistency improve too... able to retrieve fast balls.

Just to update you guys on the prowers of Ronnie. Eventhough he has been out off sight for sometime but don't be fooled as he is very fit(playing 2 matches consecutively) and beating foo and me in the process. I thought I would have an advantage on him but too bad the tactic backfired.

Sad to report that I was actually leading 7-5 and when it was 7-6 with 2 championship point on my side at 40-15, I could not kill the game . Too bad for me, the game ended with 7-9 in his favour. All credit to him.

So moral of the story for oldies there. Beware of the "Youth" brigade. They have lots of reserve energy and take no prisoners and show no mercy in this "friendly competition". Even at championship point the table could turn with examples from myself and Ronny, Albert/John and last night Peter/John.

Another point for oldies is don't play consecutive matches as sustaining injury is more likely. I would be out for another 2-3 days due to ankle strain and whole body muscle ache. Sorry postponing those "chioh" matches recently but I think I have been overexpose like Peter (played 4 matches and myself 3 matches). We should be giving those with 1 or 2 matches a chance to play catch up. Right! and give my aching body time to recover. However, Peter seems to have the capacity to take on more games, and at the rate he is going, he should finish his league matches by next week. Ha ha...

Lots of fun and thoroughly impress with John's maturity with each game his playing. Those who wants to get him first may have an advantage as at the rate he is going he would be invincible soon.
